What To Bring for Hunting
The following is a recommended list of what you should bring for hunting.

-
Hunter orange ball cap, orange winter hat and vest (camo orange is not acceptable in Ontario)
-
Weapons of choice, gun or bow
-
Soft guncase or bowcase (legal requirement)
-
Ammo
-
Rain Gear
-
Felt lined rubber boots or waterproof hunting boots (good for walking along shoreline to check tracks while covering scent)
-
Hip Waders (can be useful if you get caught in a pickle)
-
Extra Footwear/Gloves (it can be pretty cool in the mornings and evenings)
-
Flash lights (Batteries) (Waterproof flashlight is best)
-
Binoculars
-
2 Coolers (most hunters skin the head and cut up the neck part of the moose, providing 25-30lbs of potential ground meat)
-
Hunting knife/sharpener
-
Game bags, recommend 4-5 large bags per moose.
-
Moose call horn, etc.
-
Synthetic cow urine (some like to put this in a real or mock rut pit and use in combination with calling)
-
Rope to assist in positioning downed moose for gutting and quartering and also for hanging on rack.
